El Pomar Foundation
Mid Shooks Run Community Garden is grateful to El Pomar Foundation’s Anna Keesling Ackerman Fund for supporting our garden expansion project. Their generosity helps us to expand access to fresh produce and sustainable green space in downtown Colorado Springs.

El Pomar Foundation is one of the largest and oldest private foundations in Colorado, contributing approximately $25 million annually through grants in the areas of arts & culture, civic & community initiatives, education, health, and human services, as well as community stewardship and leadership development programs to support Colorado nonprofit organizations. Spencer and Julie Penrose founded El Pomar in 1937 with the mission to enhance, encourage and promote the current and future well-being of the people of Colorado.

We are grateful for our strategic partnerships with local organizations. These collaborations allow us to maximize our impact, scale resources, and work towards our shared goal of community enrichment.

With sponsorship, we expand our reach, offer diverse programming, and create more opportunities for our members to connect, learn, and grow.
