Mark Your Calendar: Cathy’s Tips for a Successful Vegetable and Herb Garden
We are beyond excited to announce that botanist extraordinaire Cathy Clarke is our featured speaker!
Join us as we host another Talks and Tastings event at what May be the last event at the Sustainacenter. Cathy will be teaching us Tips for a Successful Vegetable and Herb garden, just in time for transplant season!
The Talks and Tastings series at Mid Shooks Run Community Garden is a beloved event among our gardeners. Periodically, we’ll invite a knowledgeable speaker to discuss a garden-specific topic, ranging from composting techniques to heirloom seed saving. The goal is to help us deepen our understanding of sustainable gardening practices and inspire us to experiment with new ideas in our own plots. But what truly sets this series apart is the potluck component. All attendees bring a dish to share—bonus points if some of the ingredients are from the community garden!
The event is open to the public, and admission is free! However, there is one caveat in this series: attendees must bring a dish to share. Please write down the ingredients of your dish and bring it with you as an extra kindness to fellow attendees with dietary restrictions.
The potluck starts at 1:00 PM, followed by class at 1:30 PM sharp.
